The short answer
Wolf Repair Experts repairs Wolf, Viking and Thermador wall ovens in Los Angeles homes, including heating failures, temperature drift, door and latch problems, convection faults, and control errors. We diagnose the oven in place, explain what failed, and handle removal from the cabinet only when the repair requires it.
A wall oven that won't heat, runs hot, or shows an error code mid-roast is more than an inconvenience. It's usually built tightly into cabinetry, wired on its own circuit, and paired with a second oven or a warming drawer. Wolf Repair Experts fixes premium wall ovens in homes across Los Angeles, with Wolf as our main focus, plus Viking and Thermador. We also service Sub-Zero refrigeration in many of the same kitchens. Our base in Woodland Hills is about 15 miles northwest of the city, so we regularly work in Los Angeles homes and in nearby Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Calabasas and Hidden Hills. We are an independent repair company, not affiliated with any appliance brand.
Wall Oven Problems We Fix in Los Angeles Kitchens
Most wall oven calls fall into a handful of patterns. Some faults are a single worn part. Others come from how the oven sits in the wall, such as restricted airflow, a pinched wire behind the unit, or heat building up in the cabinet cavity. Knowing which one you have saves time and keeps you from replacing parts that were never the cause.
- Oven won't heat, or heats only on bake or only on broil
- Temperature runs noticeably hotter or cooler than the setting
- Convection fan is noisy, slow, or not turning
- Self-clean cycle won't start, or the door stays locked afterward
- Door doesn't close evenly, the hinge sags, or the gasket leaks heat
- Error codes, blank displays, or touch controls that don't respond
- Cooling fan keeps running long after the oven is off
- Upper oven works but the lower oven in a double unit doesn't

How We Diagnose a Built-In Oven
We start with the symptom you describe and the oven's own diagnostics, if it has them. Then we test the parts most likely to be involved: bake and broil elements, the temperature sensor, the convection motor, door switches, the lock assembly and the control board. Many of these checks can be done from the front of the oven or with the door off, without pulling the unit out of the wall.
When a repair does require removing the oven, we explain why before we start. Wall ovens are heavy and fit closely against wood trim and stone, so we protect the surrounding cabinetry and floor, support the unit properly, and reconnect the wiring the way it was installed. Once the work is done, we run the oven through a heating cycle and check its temperature against the setting before we leave.
Wolf, Viking and Thermador Wall Ovens
Wolf wall ovens are a large share of our work. They come in single and double configurations, with dual convection and fairly complex control systems, so careful diagnosis matters more than swapping parts. We see similar problems in Viking wall ovens, especially with door hinges, convection fans and temperature control. Thermador wall ovens, including combination units that pair a conventional oven with steam or speed cooking, have their own control and sensor layouts that we work with regularly.
If your Sub-Zero refrigerator or wine storage is also acting up, tell us when you book. We can often look at both on the same visit.

Serving Los Angeles Homes and Nearby Cities
We cover homes throughout the City of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County, including ZIP codes 90002, 90003, 90004, 90005, 90006, 90007, 90008, 90010, 90011 and 90012. That includes older houses where a wall oven was added during a remodel and newer kitchens built around a matched suite of premium appliances. We also serve Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Calabasas and Hidden Hills.
Summers in Los Angeles run hot, especially in inland neighborhoods, and fall Santa Ana winds can bring hot, dry spells. A wall oven's cooling fan and the cabinet around it have to manage that extra heat. If your oven shuts off or shows errors mostly on hot days, mention it. That pattern can point us toward ventilation or a cooling fan problem.
Before Your Appointment
A little information up front helps us bring the right parts and finish sooner. Look for the model and serial number, which is usually on a label along the oven frame, visible with the door open. Write down any error code exactly as it appears. Note whether the problem happens every time or only in certain modes. If the oven trips a breaker, leave the breaker off until we arrive.
